The big green foray

The publishers of Biofuels International magazine are launching what promises to be one of the largest green fuel shows to hit Europe – Biofuels International Expo and ConferenceThe Ahoy, Rotterdam, the Netherlands, will host the two day conference and expo from June 4-5.
On day one, Jan Åke Jonsson, MD, Saab Automobile AB, will deliver the keynote speech on Saab bio-power and the Swedish bioethanol breakthrough. Overseeing the day’s three sessions will be Gordan McManus, lead biofuels analyst from energy research and consultant firm Wood Mackenzie. Session one will focus on European biofuel market trends.
During session two, future feedstock options, delegates will have the choice of experiencing one of the two unique parallel streams on biodiesel and bioethanol in the afternoon. The last session of day one will look at storage and handling issues in each stream.
The keynote for day two will be given by Sean Sutcliffe, chairman of Biofuels Corporation Trading, speaking on investment to reach European biofuels goals.
Rob Vierhout, secretary general of ethanol producers’ association eBIO, will chair the morning’s sessions, which will explore European biofuels market outlook, production methods and ensuring product quality and efficiency.
The conference will be supported by an exhibition showcasing an array of equipment and services in such as automation, biodiesel purification and ethanol blending to name a few. Companies exhibiting include: Chemtec, Honeywell Enraf, Outokumpu, Rabobank and SGS.
