Denmark-based biodiesel producer Daka has begun operations at its 50,000 tonne a year biodiesel plant in Løsning, Denmark.

The plant will use local animal fat as feedstock, but has multi-feedstock technology.

The plant was construction by Austrian plant construction company BDI – BioDiesel International in 11 months.

This plant in Denmark is the 16th plant engineered by BDI. The company provides plant planning, construction and start-up and subsequent after-sales service.

The company supplies multi-feedstock plant technology that can manufacture biodiesel on the basis of different raw materials, such as vegetable oils, waste edible oils and animal fats.

This project has also been supported by the German company ecoMotion, a subsidiary of the Saria group, which already operates several BDI plants and participates in the Daka project as an investor.
